Consultant (n)- a person who gives professional or expert advice
Retailer (n)- the sale of goods to ultimate consumers, usually in small quantities
I guess when you look at these definitions (from dictionary.com) my role as a Close consultant falls into both categories. I teach people about the benefits of baby wearing and using cloth but I also sell the products I talk about. So how do I perceive the difference? For me, educating people is definitely the primary goal of my consultancy. Sales are a bonus. I love using cloth on my bub which is how I got started in the first place.
What does this mean for you? First, you get an obligation free service. I can meet you one-on-one chat or with a group of your friends and have a chat about the benefits of reusable nappies and baby carriers. You can have a look at the products that I demonstrate and at the end of the day there is no pressure to purchase, you can just walk away. As a consultant I can offer you consultant-only promotions. These are the same as all other Close consultants Australia wide. Please note, consultant promotions and retailer discounts/specials are two different things and I only offer the former. If you see a retailer discount somewhere chances are I will be offering something different (and hopefully better).
